The famous big boy locomotive will be making a pass through North Lawrence and Union Pacific Depot as a part of the Coast to Coast Tour No. 4014, unfortunately Big Boy will not stop for viewing in Lawrence, Kansas but will pass through en route from Union Station in Kansas City to Great Overland Station in Topeka.
Big Boy will depart Kansas City’s Union Station on Thursday, July 23rd at 9am and will arrive in Topeka at the Great Overland Station at 12:15pm, the full schedule is linked below. Make sure you are able to catch Big Boy going by on Thursday, July 23rd between 9am and 12:15pm as it passes through Lawrence!
